June has been a busy month, but earlier this week I found time to make it to the beach for the first time since I moved here. Now back to editing wedding photos for 2 weddings, creating photo books, assisting on fashion shoots, and working on submissions for an art gallery downtown.

I shot another wedding! Even after earning my degree, I can still go out with my camera and learn something new. It doesn’t hurt, of course, being surrounded by some amazing photographers and, oh man, their lenses…. I’ll consider myself successful when I can afford half of the stuff they have.

I have to add this about the wedding, it was amazing. Not only the place, which was to die for, but the people. The bride seemed so happy and in love with every single person there and they felt the same way about her. I want to be lucky enough to have a day like that, love, cake, and OH YEAH, she brought hula hoops.

Tonight we went over and had dinner with my teacher's son and his family. The food was incredible and the company was equally delightful. There was a set of barely one year old twins that were grabbing and laughing and blowing us kisses all night. As far as photo wise, I didn't shoot a lot, a lot of images today but I still like a few.

I think the title kinda gives it away, but it is true, I am in Arizona. I flew in yesterday with 5 other classmates and my teacher. Long LONG flights that were cured with amazing mexican food. Then we went off to the Desert Botanical Garden, so pretty. If there was grass here, I would want to move.

Tomorrow is Martin Luther King Day. Tomorrow classes start back up. I call racism.

In other news, there are 108 days until I am a college grad. That's a countdown requiring 5 full sets of human fingers and toes, and then an amputee.

A second post in one week? You should feel honored. Especially since it is the last week of school and finals start Monday. No pity is necessary for I do not attend a real school. I go to a magical place where you can major in ponies and tardiness is acceptable as midgets at a carnival.

In other news, my roommate's dog has deemed the Christmas stockings hanging from the fireplace highly inappropriate. I feel we should purchase a Menorah to even out the bias holiday spirit of the house that has been ignored far too long. FAR TOO LONG. The other parts of my day have been uneventful, the most memorable part was a trip to Sonic. It ended with a toddler toy instead of the dolphin transport train cart in my happy meal. I'm sorry, they call them Wacky Pack Kid's Meals and if you try to order a "happy meal" the drive thru order man will correct you with all the gusto a high school dropout can have. Anyway, my "they aren't called happy meals because they don't make you happy" meal included a tater tot named Skully Tot, a pirate by trade. He has no arms and an eye patch. More importantly, he was made for children under 3... Jerks.
